All stages of the coffee preparation process are subject to stringent quality checks. On their arrival in Europe, the green coffee is assessed to check its condition after shipping. Upon acceptance of the delivery, the coffee is then sent to the Nespresso production centre in Orbe (Switzerland) where a sample is taken from each sack of coffee to be roasted and tasted. This procedure enables us to check the conformity of the coffee's sensorial characteristics, the degree of humidity and the quality of coffee beans delivered.

• Coffee can only be cultivated in the tropical regions between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. Coffee needs a lot of heat and is easily damaged by frost.

• The incomparable flavour of the Nespresso coffee varieties is due to the fact that only top-quality coffee is selected by our experts.

• The Nespresso decaffeinated varieties are decaffeinated naturally using water. This process only eliminates the caffeine without affecting the coffee's taste.
