The All-Star Design Team
Nespresso assembled a jury of top designers to select the winners from the numerous top quality projects submitted by students from top design schools around the world. Four designers who had already presided over the first event agreed to participate in this second edition of the contest: Germany's Konstantin Grcic, whose works include a piece that won the Compasso d'Oro and – Argentinean-born, Swiss designer Alfredo Häberli, who works for prestigious companies like Alias, Iittala and Volvo – Ineke Hans, a former member of the Habitat team – and France's Patrick Norguet, crowned designer of the year at "Now! Design à vivre" in 2005 during the Maison & Objet home fashion exhibition. Matali Crasset, a former colleague of Philippe Starck who was awarded in 1997 with the Grand Prix du Design – and Christian Ghion, whose work has been exhibited in a number of museums.
